Today I took a coach full of our U3A members to the National Archives (TNA). For many of them it was the first time, so they joined the introductory talk at 11:30. There was also a talk on the Manorial Documents Register at 2pm so again many of us joined this excellent talk given by Liz Hart.
I managed to look at the divorce papers for Percival Gladstone and Julia F Greethead (née Knight). I also desperately tried to read the hearth tax records of 1666 mentioning Joshua Greathead
I took many pictures of these records and will look at them to see what else I might discover
