Fascinating find

I received an urgent email from my very dear friend Tony this afternoon to say look at the Yorkshire news on IPlayer.

I did and discovered that Pontefract Castle has just received a Heritage lottery grant and therefore will be able to save the castle.  I'm thrilled as in the dungeon there is scratched the name of Captain Robert Greathed.  Apparently he scratched it using his belt buckle when he he was a prisoner during the civil war.

I had heard about it before but now I have actual evidence.  Terrific.  Thanks Tony
