Website updated 1 March 2016

Well St David's day is today and the website has been updated.  We have several Welsh Greatheads, are you related to them?  Can you add more information?

With the 1939 National Register now free to subscribers of Find my past I have been busy adding data from this register to my database.  Hopefully you have found something new about your family.  It will take a few more months work before I get through all entries on the database, so please be patient.  However this is proving very useful as it provides dates of birth - not always correct  - but hey it helps.  Some changes in surname have been recorded thus identifying possible marriages.

I have been sent notification of four new pictures of graves being added to the findagrave website so have added these.  Thanks to the gentleman who sent them.

Find my past have many Greathead marriages in the Boyd's Marriages listings but since these are only transcriptions I am holding on before I add these, most are quite old and will need much investigation.  A job for a rainy month in the future.

Some of you may well have read my facebook pages and seen my delight at resolving the Nellie Greathead marriage, well sometimes he records state she is Helen and sometimes she is Nellie.  I believe I have got the mix correct.

I have also spent a long time wondering who the parents of Thomas Eli Greathead were, then with a break through I discovered them.  Another brickwall came tumbling down.

As usual there are some addition entries mainly for birth and death, but also a few marriages.  Thanks to all those who sent them, you know who you are and are named as the source on the website.

I am always delighted when people write to me saying they enjoy the website and have lots of more information do I want it?  I of course am delighted and respond saying yes please.  But I am so disappointed when I never hear from them again.  I usually write again to remind them of their promise.  Why build up my hopes only to let me down.  Come on chaps please send the information NOW
