Featherstone Greathead

It was kindly pointed out by Jennifer that I had made a mistake on the place of birth of Featherstone's son Alfred. It should have been Kingston upon Hull. Of course it should, thanks Jennifer. Then she asked if I knew anything about the family using the name Montgomery. Well that started me on a great evening of fun. It was not long before I realised that the family were using the surname of Montgomery from 1882. I found them on 1881, 1891 and 1901 census. Alfred was a vocalist and later a musical agent. I guess they decided to change his name, maybe Montgomery was better than Greathead in the "lights". The more I investigated the more I found. Watch the update on 28 February for the results.
