Sergeant Robert Richard Greathead Montgomery

Following on from the remarkable day I had yesterday. I was sure I had more information about the Greathead Montgomery family. Rummaging through some papers I found what I was looking for. When I was at TNA last year I took copies of the application form and accompanying letter that Robert sent requesting a commission in the Cavalry, Artillary or Royal Flying Corps. He thought his ability as an artist would be good for observation work. Sadly he was not successful. The TNA eference was WO 330/122662
