Informal ONS meeting

Once again some of the Surrey and West London GoONS met for an informal meeting today. This time we met in Hammersmith for coffee before we started. It was good to meet two new faces who had not attended any of our meetings previously.

Margaret Spiller one of our group had prepared a short talk about Cemeteries and provided some handouts. She had brought a selection of her books on the subject which we were able to browse through.

I will always think differently now when people talk to me about the Magnificent Seven. No, I shall say not the film, the cemeteries!

We had all brought a packed lunch. This enabled us to continue discussions over lunch and well into the afternoon. We started to wind down at 2:30 but were enjoying the chat so much it was nearer 3pm before we left.

Our thanks to Lauretta for providing the accomodation and to Margaret for the enlightening talk.

Chris agreed to arrange a talk at the next meeting in Hammersmith scheduled for 9 October
