Greathead - Whitelock families

Just received an Email from Jennifer whose great grandfather was Thomas Greathead who emigrated to Australia in 1869 and changed his name to Gray. That helps to solve the mystery of what happened to him, although I still can't find him on 1861 census. She also confirmed that his mother was Jane Whitelock the daughter of Matthew Whitelock and his first wife Elizabeth Hutchinson (I was unaware of this marriage)
She has just returned from a three month trip to Yorkshire following her descendants and has promised to forward much more information on these families who seem so closely linked. I can hardly wait. Many, many thanks Jennifer
