Charles Christopher Greathead

My very good friend Tony has solved the mystery that we have so long searched for. Having pawed through the GRO indexes for many years for the birth of Charles Christopher Greathead we now discover that this entry never made it to the GRO. Tony very cleverly discovered the birth entry on the CD he purchased from Sheffield Family History Society.

As he wrote in his Email "Whoopee" I echo his cheer. Tony has requested a copy of the birth certificate and has kindly promised me a copy Well done Tony and thank you

Just goes to show that although a birth entry may appear on the original register. It can be missed from the copy that went to the GRO
