Major Joshua Greathead

I have been reminded of Major Joshua Greathead who took part in the Farnley Wood Plot and have started to do some preliminary investigation. There is some data on the internet and I have found some documents at TNA which might prove useful, so when TNA reopens fully I will go and order them.

I have ascertained Joshua had two brothers Nicholas and Thomas. His cousin Thomas Oates was executed on 16 January 1666. Joshua turned informer for which he was rewarded with hearth tax for West Ridings and the city of York totalling £1,334. Sadly some of the documents I would have liked to read are with the Yorkshire Archeological Society, so I will not get to see them quickly.

Can anyone provide details on this plot to assist me? I would be very grateful
