Not quite older generation stuff. But it will be history one day.
My son John who is Finance Director for McClaren Formula One Motors was running in his first marathon today. The New York one. He ran a fantastic race, and his unofficial time was 4 hours 36 seconds. He came through the finishing post just a few minutes after Lewis Hamilton completed his world championship magnificent race.
I spent the afternoon with the TV on watching the formula one race and Martin's PC on tracking John's progress and my PC showing the marathon live. Sadly I never did see John and the coverage ended just before he passed the finnishing line. The last time I was so worried was when I waited for the birth of my 5th grandchild.
So proud of John, well done
