I have just received some magnificent pictures of Clara and Pauline, two of Hannah Greathead's daughters. Pauline, known all her live as "Pleen" amazingly did not need glasses to read. She was a former pub landlady of the Star Inn at Sancton who never touched alcohol and insisted on going to the polls at an election, refusing to vote by post. She appeared in the Hull Daily Mail in 1976 when she celebrated her 100th birthday, a musical trio sang especially for her. Two years later she again appeared in the same paper when she celebrated her 102nd birthday. It reported that residents where she lived enjoyed a party in her honour, the cook baked a special cake and she was presented with a bouquet of flowers to which she apparently whispered "Beautiful" I have added the pictures of Pauline and Clara to my database and they will appear with more information in the narratives when the website is updated on 31 October. I was also sent this fantastic picture of the pair of them together in 1928. Thank you so much Stewart
