Maternal family

It is always good to meet new people and I have been fortunate to receive correspondence from Melissa who now enjoys the same surname as my maternal grandmother Ada Emily Banthorp She has kindly sent me details of her investigations and several certificates and I have been adding these to my database when I locate the GRO and/or census references. One problem I do have with this family name is sometimes it is spelt Banthorp, other times it is Banthorpe. One day maybe we will discover that each spelling springs from the same origi and when the variant spelling came about. For ease until that day comes I have added all entries as Banthorp.
