I received an Email today from Howard whose relatives lived two doors away from John Greathead in 1901 and he had a query on the occupation of his relative. I believe he was a leather currier, someone who greases leather to keep it supple, not working on the railways like our John who was a railway engine driver.
It is always great to talk with new people. Howard added his websites addresses to his query. Having investigated his relative and finding him on 1881, 1891 and 1901 census. I went on to look at his websites and was delighted to find the answer to what to purchse for one of my granddaughters for her birthday soon was staring me in the face. My order for two copies is already in the post. Many thanks Howard.
If you would like to see his sites they can be found on www.hesslemusic.co.uk
or www.siggleswick.co.uk The second produced the answer to my present problem.
