Isabella Brown

I received an Email from Wendy who is my 4th cousin about the familyof Isabella Brown. She was sister to my 2x great grandmother Sarah. I am hoping that maybe she might know more about her first marriage. We will see.

However she has given me access to many family photographs which will be on this update. Thanks Wendy

National Archive visit

On the spur of the moment my ex work colleague and friend suggested going to the National Archives today. I met her at my local railway station and we drove up in the rain.

We headed straight for the 1911 census table and booked an hour slot for after we had a reviving cup of coffee. The hour went so fast but was a very productive time. We then booked another slot straight away to commence after we had lunch. Three more hours in the afternoon spoilt only by a fire drill. I agree it is very necessary to have a test and I am so grateful the rain had stopped but next time "not when I am there" No seriously ...

Must book another day very soon

Website updated 1 May 2009

This month has been an extremely busy one. Family and U3A commitments as well as family history have made little time to clear the jungle outside laughingly called a garden, and as for the dust.... well!!!

Anyway apologies if I have been unable to include your suggested amendments this month, especially if they involved a lot of research. I just did not get time. However none of your comments and Emails are lost I will get around to fully researching and answering you asap

Thanks for communicating with me and do keep the Emails coming, I love to hear from you.

Look at the website this month, lots of will, census information, some new pictures and families extended

Great fun, and the sun is shinning so I am off with my trusty flymo to see if I can find a lawn:-))
