Greathead Excise men
I discovered a while ago I had Excise men in my One-Name Study so I went
to TNA and went through the 750 microfiche index books to find my
Greathead entries. Last year I discovered these index books had been
digitally copied by TNA and were available to download for free. Just
finished this task phew and only missed two entries. Mighty pleased to
have completed the task and amazed I only missed two on microfiche
records

Last night I updated the website. Lots of new information.
Laterly I have been focusing on attempting to find where the Greathead's originated from, so have been investigating the families into which they married. Many cross marriages with the Whitelock's from Swaledale.
They say we should hatch, match and dispatch all our entries, so the earlier part of the year I was doing just that. Adding dates of death or at least years of death
Next month I will continue to investigate wills and other data I collected a while ago. Re-looking at this information, knowing what I now know, can make me look at it in a completely different light and make much more sense of it.
