I am beginning to get quite an strong affinity with our William and Kate.

I organised a Greathead gathering in 2011 and they decided to get married the day before.

Tomorrow is my birthday and today Kate gave birth to a baby boy. Congratulations to all three of them.

The next Greathead gathering is due for 14 June 2014.  I wonder what occassion they will choose to celebrate on 13 June 2014?  Spooky eh

QR code

Last night I learned how to create a QR code for www.greathead.org.  So those with telephones with bar code apps can now go straight from the blog to the website.  I will experiment where else these codes may be useful.

Welcome to a new little Greathead

I have just been informed that on 28 April we welcomed Connor David Alec Greathead into the world.  A little earlier than planned and weighing in about 4lbs but he and his Mum doing well.  His Dad is overjoyed.

Paid a fleeting vsist to the London Metroplitan Archives and took details of the Births 2007-2010 Q1, Marriages 2006-2008, Deaths 2007-2010 Q1 and my first Greathead Civil Marriage.

The deaths will appear on the next website update, the other records will remain on my personal database.

Welcome to a new Great Great Grandson for Thomas Wilfred William Huitson and Margaret Greathead born yesterday. Congratulations to Mark and Kelly.

New member of the Greathead extended family

Just today been notified that yesterday 4 November at 5am in Canada my 3rd cousin twice removed was born, Little Liam Matthew Birks. Special congratulations to parents, grandparents and great grandparents.

Jessica Louisa Wren

I am delighted to announce to everyone that my fifth grandchild, the first child of my daughter Linda and son in law Steve was born tonight at 6:44 pm weighing in at 7lbs 14 ozs. Mum, Dad and baby are doing well and Nanny can at long last get some sleep tonight. My other grandchildren Abigail, Camilla, Maxwell and Darcey are delighted with their new cousin. Steve's brother Simon and his wife Julie have two sons, Matthew and Nicholas to complete the cousins so far.........................

Beautiful little Emma

I was rewarded with a picture of little Emma yesterday and wanted to share with everyone. I announced her birth earlier. Isn't she just scrummy

Another related baby born today

It must be a day of births today, as I have just received the wonderful news of the birth of a baby girl who is being called Emma and weighed 8lb 9oz. She joins the descendents of the 1820 settlers currently on the website. The delighted grandad sent me the news. My congratulations to all, and I await photographs. Grandad is a superb photographer and a great genealogical friend so I was very pleased to share his news. Well done Amanda

The youngest Greathead born TODAY

I have been informed by a very proud and emotional Grandad that the latest Greathead has just been born at around 11:00 this morning, weighing in at 8lbs 10ish ounces. I am awaiting details of the name they have chosen for this new little boy, who is the great grandson of Frank
