Website updated 30 April 2007

Despite my spending the day looking after the living relatives - taking and collecting my mother in laws car for service and MOT and then with my daughter who was quite poorly. That had the bonus that I got to have lots of cuddles and smiles with my grandaughter Jessica. The website was updated overnight. Do look for your information and let me know if you wish to add more - I am forever hopeful

Lyndon and Agnes Greathead

I was delighted to receive an Email from Stu, a delightful young gentleman who is the nephew of Lyndon and Agnes. He gave me a wonderful insight into the lives of these two people. He also gave me copies of Lyndon's certificate of baptism, his naturalisation certificate and their marriage certificate. I have never seen a certificate of naturlisation before so was particularly interested in that copy. He also gave me some pictures of them and their dream house and car. I love pictures of the Greathead family, they and the stories bring family history alive for me and hopefully others.
How very kind to share your memories of these people who clearly meant so much to you.

Meeting 3rd cousin

I drove to Heathrow airport yesterday and spent a wonderful eight hours (ouch the carpark fee was £29.60) or so chatting to my 3rd cousin who had flown in from Canada and was taking the coach to Luton later that day to take the Ryan flight to Italy to meet his wife who had flown out the week before, and cousin who lives out there with her children. The time just flew by, we talked about things genealogical and generally put the world to rights. Thanks Peter it was great

Contact with current Greated family

I have at last made contact with current members of the Greated family. By flook I discovered an entry on a website where the daughter had opened a conference. I Emailed the conference organiser and he forwarded my Email. I am now in contact with Alecia and her family. Her Mum seems to be the family historian, so am enjoying contact with her.
