Jane Cartwright Greathead

Gerry a descendant from one of Jane's children very kindly gave me access to this fabulous picture of Jane, her husband and children. I investigated the family more so with the next update not only will these pictures appear but also some more details. Census and GRO taking the families further forward.

Many thanks Gerry I look forward to hearing more from you

Greathead Tonic Mixture bottle

I tried unsuccessfully on Ebay to purchase a Greathead tonic bottle. Interestingly the seller used information from my website to advertise the bottle! I have since discovered that I had spelt Maryborough incorrectly. I hope this will be corrected in the update due this weekend.

If anyone comes across another example of this bottle at reasonable cost I may be interested

Site map available on website

At long last after so many attempts I have created a site map for the website. It may not be great but at least it is a start. It would be useful to hear what you think. Ideas for improvement will be gratefully received.

Look forward to hearing from you

Website updated 31 July 2008

Having re-visited many of the old families I have added many GRO references to make sure I have the correct dates. Having visited Genes Reunited I have a few new contacts. I have been trying to research the descendents of Thomas Williams Greathead with the assistance of a gentleman in the US. Another in Canada is related to Reuben Francis Greathead born in Bristol and sent to Canada as a "home child" by Dr Barnados

Pictures

Since the latest update I have received two wonderful pictures. Michael John Greathead (right) and Robert Greathead (left). Robert is my 5th Cousin twice removed

Thank you Nigel and Adrian

It is so lovely to "see" our family
