Novels with a difference

I have recently completed an excellent book. I rarely pass on my ideas on books but this one was superb. A crime story with a genealogical twist well worth reading. Dan Waddell's The Blood Detective. I first heard about this book from the flyers at WDYTYR in May

Another author worth considering is Fiona Anderson, her books Pale as the Dead and Bloodline are also good reads again with genealogical interests

I would add that neither Fiona nor Dan are related

New feature working on website

At last I have managed to make the feature work on the website that allows you to go direct to a record if you know the ID of the person you wish to view. Say for instance I wish to see my Mum I know she is ID 7. Go to Narratives, using the button on menu bar "Person" enter 7 and press Go and Bingo up pops my Mum. Have a go!

Also don't forget the Site Map is now also available with all the routes hyperlinked. Hope they work Ok if not pleas let me know

Have fun

Website updated 31 August 2008

I have updated the website, have a look at the brickwall of the month. This month I have met several new Greathead ancestors, maybe tomorrow I will meet YOU.

I really would love it if you contacted me if you have new data, corrections, certificates, photographs, apprenticeship records, funeral cards anything about our wonderful family. Maybe you have one of those Greathead tonic bottles!

Look very forward to meeting new and hearing from "old" friends

Greathead - Montgomery link

I was so excited this morning to discover an Email from Alan a direct descendant form Robert Featherstone Greathead. he lives in South Africa and says he is passionate about genealogy so I am looking very forward to working with him
